Christmas For Kids Program
Each year for Christmas, Officers here in the Greater Atlanta Area take underprivileged children shopping for toys, gifts, clothing & much needed items.
These are children who will otherwise miss out on the most joyous holiday of the year so we ensure this will be a Christmas they will never forget.
The Officers do this in uniform to be a positive role model and to let these kids know that a Police Officer is someone they can run TO not AWAY from.
Back To School Program
Before the beginning of every school year, through this program, local students are provided with Backpacks, Clothing, Footwear, School Supplies and any items needed for a successful year.
With the increase in bullying in the schools, we want to make sure that these kids have brand new clothing like the rest of their peers so that they can focus on having fun and getting their education.
Kids Summer Camp
Every summer, the Atlanta Police Association helps families send their children to local Summer Camps throughout the Greater Atlanta Area.
We focus on courageous children, so we are proud to be working with Camp Sunshine. Their professional staff is on hand to ensure that Kids with cancer have a safe and unforgettable experience.
Summer Camp allows kids to participate in Canoeing, Archery, Arts & Crafts, Swimming and Sports activities as well as forming bonds and creating lifelong friendships, so we step up to help make this happen, through the generous support of our local Business Community.
Youth Sports Program
Sports provides mentorship, improves cardiovascular health, leads to better nutritional choices, improves self-esteem and teaches kids the importance of teamwork.
All of these attributes will help empower our children so that they are well equipped for the challenges they will face in life, as they build the foundation for their future.
Due to these positive, character building qualities, we are proud supporters of our local Atlanta Police Athletic League as well as a sponsor of the local youth sports team the Hapeville Hornets.
Community Meal Programs
Feeding the homeless, hungry children, senior citizens or anyone who is down at the moment and needs a hot meal to get them through the day, is a priority of any caring individual with the means to help them.
We are a proud sponsor of our local Atlanta Community Food Bank. Their impact and excellence in food distribution in the Greater Atlanta Area is impressive and inspiring. And at the end of the day, the smiles on the faces of those we’ve helped, makes it all well worth the effort.
